Custom Invitation Design Process
This is to give you a break down of the different stages we will go through together. Even though I no longer provide full service to wedding stationaries, the process for any custom work are still pretty much the same, the only difference is the production & shipment. Don’t worry too much, I would still provide some guidance for the services I no longer provide!
01. LET'S CHAT
After the initial inquiry, I like to begin the process with a conversation over the phone or video chat regarding the overall feel and vision. This is when I get to know about you, your better half, and your preferred style. Please note that I am a total visual person, so the more inspiration photos you can share with me the better! This is also a good time to share with me the items you are looking for and the budget you’d like to stick to, so I can do my best to accommodate!
02. PROPOSAL
As soon as I get an idea of what your vision is, I will put together a proposal that consist of estimated cost your desired items. The proposal will also include style, materials, suggested form of printing, and any additional items that will enhance the overall suite.
03. DESIGN PROCESS
Once the proposal has been signed off and we are on the same page with design direction, artwork will be drafted and sent via e-mail for you to sign off on or revise based on the previous conversation. Minor revisions can be requested to ensure perfection. But major design revisions as well as unreasonable revision request that changes the design direction completely will result in an additional design fee.
04. PRODUCTION
Upon approval of the final design, I will prepare high resolution print ready files for you to use any vendor for your choice. I will only be responsible for sending files to the printer if you choose to use my preferred vendor. It is a good idea to think about additional services such as envelope calligraphy ahead of time. If these are something you are considering please remember to mention them when we chat, so we can factor in the production time for all the services.
05. SHIPMENT
This is the best part cause the wait is over! Printed items will be shipped directly to you from the printer because that cuts down shipping and handling time. Please note all outstanding payments must be made before the shipment.
